Yamaha are pioneers of western instruments in Japan. Company was quite accidentally founded by Torakusu Yamaha, who was a great fixer and was asked to repair an old organ. The business late required Torakusu to get a specific education but it was worth it - Yamaha is now really far from organs out of tune. In fact, the name is known all around the globe.
